NEW SPONSOR FOR
FORMULA FORD

2007: Formula Ford has gained a new sponsor for the coming
season - Snap-on Equipment Solutions (EQS), a key provider of
workshop service and diagnostic equipment.
Welcoming the firm
to its partnership with the Ford-backed championship, Michael
Norton, Ford TeamRS Motorsport Manager for the UK, said: "We
are very pleased that Snap-on has chosen to support Formula Ford
and we look forward to working with them. We see this link as
recognition of the championship's rejuvenation and growing
strength."
Formula Ford
celebrates its 40th anniversary this summer, and the UK
championship, expanded for 2007 to 25 rounds, is the sole
single-seater support series to the British Formula 3
Championship.
Formula 1 World
Champions Michael Schumacher, Ayrton Senna, Nigel Mansell, James
Hunt, Emerson Fittipaldi, Jody Scheckter, Damon Hill and Mika
Hakkinen are among the graduates of Formula Ford, as are current
F1 stars Jenson Button, Rubens Barrichello, David Coulthard, Nick
Heidfeld, Kimi Raikkonen and Mark Webber.
