13 October 2007: Formula Ford graduate Christian Ebbesvik has made history by becoming the first driver of the Duratec era to graduate to GP2. The Norwegian, who won a British Formula Ford race at Thruxton in 2006, tested for GP2 team Racing Engineering at Jerez, Spain, earlier this month.

Racing Engineering team principal Alfonso de Orleans-Borbon said: "Christian did a really good job. He was able to handle the power well and never put a foot wrong. It's clear he has the ability to do well at this level."

Ebbesvik has competed this season in the Spanish Formula 3 Championship with Team West-Tec.
