MALVERN
NOMINATED FOR McLAREN AUTOSPORT BRDC AWARD
30 September
2010: Scott Malvern, runner-up in the 2010 Dunlop MSA Formula
Ford Championship of Great Britain, has been nominated as one of
the six finalists in the McLaren Autosport BRDC Award. Scott and
his five rivals for the prestigious title - Luciano Bacheta, Jack
Harvey, Nigel Moore, Tom Blomqvist and Lewis Williamson - will go
before the judging panel at Silverstone in November.
They will be
assessed in a Formula 2 car and a Mercedes DTM car, and will be
interviewed by a panel of judges. The winner, who will be
announced in December, will win £50,000, a McLaren F1 test drive
and BRDC membership.
"I am
extremely pleased that my achievements this year have been
recognized by the judges for this great competition," said
Scott. "I am so very much looking forward to the experience.
It's something that I was dreaming of just two years ago when I
was working as a mechanic for Jamun Racing, and I now I'm living
that dream. I will be giving it my all." |
