MALVERN LAUNCHES CHARITY KARTING EVENT

12 July 2010: Dunlop MSA Formula Ford Championship of Great Britain leader Scott Malvern has announced his annual fund-raising karting event in aid of the Haven House Children's Hospice.

The event will go on general sale soon and will be launched as a Facebook event, so book your place early to avoid disappointment as grid slots are limited. As in 2009 there will be a number of "pro-drivers" for to you to test your skills against; last year we had top drivers from Formula 3, Formula Renault, Formula Ford and British Touring Cars as well as some of the leading stars of karting and top motorsport journalists.

The 2hr Team Endurance is booked for a 6.30pm start on Wednesday 1 September 2010. Arrival time for drivers will be between 5.30pm and 6pm. Briefing will start at 6.05pm to be followed by practice and qualifying, in which all drivers must take part. Then the 2 hour endurance race will follow with an estimated completion time of about 9pm.

As in 2009 a team entry will be just £200, which is very good value for an event lasting 3 hours, and 100% of all profits will go directly to Haven House, with Brentwood Karting making a generous additional donation.

Teams will consist of 2 to 4 drivers. If you would like to participate but don't think that you can put a team together then please pre-register anyway as you will definitely get a drive.
