KART STARS WIN FORMULA FORD DRIVES

2 August 2010: Young racing hopefuls looking to follow in the wheeltracks of World Champion Jenson Button were in action yesterday, bidding to win their first Formula Ford drives.

They were taking part in the Kartmasters tournament at the PF International kart circuit in Lincolnshire, where the top three in the KF2 division would each be rewarded with the promise of a test drive in a top chassis from the Dunlop MSA Formula Ford Championship of Great Britain.

Jordan Chamberlain, Mark Litchfield and Tom Grice were the Kartmasters 1-2-3 and will take their prize drives at the end-of-season Formula Ford 'sampler day'.

"I'm sure that Jordan, Mark and Tom will have a fantastic time when they get to sample a Formula Ford for the first time," said championship manager Penny Mattocks. "All three drove brilliantly in the competition and I am sure have long and successful motorsport careers ahead of them."

Kartmasters, which is organised by the Trent Valley Kart Club, celebrated its 15th anniversary this year.
