- Juan Angel Rosso confirmed as one of the Jamun squad
- Team boss Mundy says the youngester has proved quick in testing
30 January, 2013 – Multiple Formula Ford champion team Jamun Racing has confirmed the identity of one of its first signings for the coming season – 19-year-old Argentinian Juan Angel Rosso.
Jamun boss Tony Munday told Motorsport News: “Juan has been quick with us in testing, even in tricky conditions, and he’ll learn a lot from racing in England.”
Rosso follows in the wheeltracks of his countryman Eric Lichtenstein, who won more races in Formula Ford last season than any other driver. Like Lichtenstein, Rosso is a protégé of ex-Formula 1 designer Sergio Rinland.
Juan arrives in the UK with single-seater experience in his home country – he contested Formula Renault Plus in Argentina in 2012, scoring one race victory.
Motorsport News speculates that Jamun will run four cars in this year’s Dunlop MSA Formula Ford Championship of Great Britain, with series returnee Luke Williams at the wheel of one.
