Sample Formula Ford
costs
There is no such thing as a fixed budget in motorsport. The
flexibility that Formula Ford offers in its chassis design, its
engine build and testing demands means that there can be a
relatively wide spread in budgets. The following costs are purely
indicative, but might help you with your planning. All costs plus
VAT.

A championship budget is usually anywhere between
£35,000 and £115,000. This does depend on the team that you select and factors such as the number of personnel in the team, their
facilities and success, plus your testing programme, insurance and
the age and specification of car and engine.
It pays to speak to a number of teams to establish the best
package for you. The teams currently involved in British Formula Ford
are listed here. Of course there are other
highly regarded single-seater teams, but none will know the UK
Formula Ford series as well as these.
